Dear Friends, By now you have heard many stories on boxing. Why read my story? Why now? Today I live a simple life. I am raising two young daughters with my wife and I have three grown children who have children of their own. I decided to write my story to leave my children and fans a legacy to read and to help those seeking a career in prize fighting learn from my experience. I think it is also a good idea to tell you what my book is not. I owe it to my family and friends of boxing to keep the spirit of this book uplifting. There are many dark sides of boxing that I will not go into. There are some secrets that I will take to my grave. I will share some great stories that I am quite sure will circulate to the boxing world. Telling your life story is very personal and I am going to get real in telling mine. I sincerely hope you enjoy what I create for you. Now in my 60's, I have come to appreciate the life lessons of being in the ring and being in the lime light. Times were very different for boxing during the 70’s and I am proud to say I survived to tell the story. Stories about boxing with the greats like Sugar Ray Robinson, hands on mentors like Carmen Basilio, Emile Griffith, the boxing camps shared with the likes of George Foremen, hanging out with the Quarries and landing on the Muhammad Ali fight card.
